WHAT KIND OF TRAINING DO THE COACHES HAVE?
-
Footwork drills: Footwork is an essential part of table tennis, and our coaches will help players improve their movement around the table. This can include drills to improve quickness, balance, and agility.
-
Serve and receive practice: Our coaches will help players improve their serve and receive techniques, including serving to specific targets and practicing return shots against various types of serves.
-
Forehand and backhand training: Coaches will provide drills and exercises to help players develop their forehand and backhand strokes, including topspin, backspin, and sidespin shots.
-
Multi-ball training: Multi-ball training is a popular method for improving a player's overall skill level. The coach will feed a series of balls to the player, allowing them to practice their shots and footwork in a more intense and game-like scenario.
-
Serve and return game simulations: Coaches will set up game-like scenarios to help players practice their serve and return strategies and techniques.
-
Mental training: Table tennis is as much a mental game as it is a physical one. Coaches will provide training on visualization, goal-setting, concentration, and other mental skills that can help players perform at their best.
-
Match play: Finally, coaches will provide opportunities for players to compete against each other in match play. This can help players apply the skills they have learned in a competitive environment and get a better sense of what works best for them in a game situation.
